D&J has been cleaning windows around Southampton, Totton, Hythe and the New Forest since 2003. In that time the kit has changed — ladders and buckets gave way to pure water and poles — but the job hasn't. Turn up when you said you would, do it properly, and be easy to get hold of.
A lot of our round has been with us for well over a decade. Some customers we've cleaned for since the first year. That's the part we're actually proud of.
How we work
The same faces
You'll recognise whoever turns up, because it's the same small team every round. No subcontractors, no rotating crews, no call centre between you and the person doing the work.
Frames and sills, every time
Plenty of cleaners quote for glass and glass only. We've always included frames, sills and doors in the standard price — it's the difference between a window that looks clean and a window that is clean.
No contracts
Nothing to sign and nothing to cancel. Skip a visit when you're away, or stop altogether — just let us know. We'd rather keep customers because they want us back.
If it's not right, we come back
Tell us within 24 hours and we'll re-clean free. In twenty-plus years we've found that being easy to complain to is what stops complaints happening.
Why pure water
Tap water carries dissolved minerals. Let it dry on glass and those minerals stay behind as spots — which is why a rain shower can leave windows looking worse than before.
Pure water has had those minerals stripped out. It lifts dirt, then dries leaving nothing at all. No detergent, no residue for dust to stick to, and nothing to streak. It also means we can reach upper floors, conservatory roofs and gutters from the ground with a pole, instead of putting a ladder against your wall or your guttering.
It works in light rain, too — the finish comes from the water being pure, not from the weather.

- We text the night before, so gates get unlocked and nobody's caught out.
- You don't need to be home — we'll clean and put a note through the door.
- Cash, bank transfer or online payment, whichever suits you.
- Fully insured, with documentation available on request.
