Totton was the largest village in England until it became a town in 1974, and it still feels that way — a big, settled, mostly suburban place made up of estates that went up within a few years of each other. That matters for window cleaning more than you'd think: it means whole streets share the same window layout, the same frame age and the same access.
Much of Totton's housing stock dates from the estate building of the late 1960s and 1970s — Calmore and the Hounsdown expansion especially. A lot of those homes are now on their second generation of UPVC, and older white frames chalk and grey with age in a way that glass-only cleaning never addresses. That's why frames and sills are part of every visit here rather than an upsell. Rear extensions and conservatories are also very common on these plots, so most Totton quotes end up including a conservatory or extension line.
